Important note considering the trail Oberwald-Rhonequelle during winter seasons 2015/16 and 2016/17 :
Hydropower is an important energy source in the Alps. For the construction of a hydroelectric power station between Gletsch and Oberwald, an access will be cleared on the pass road from Oberwald to "Nikolaus-Kehr" over the next two winters 2015/16 and 2016/17. For this reason the cross country skiing trail to Rhonequelle can not be offered.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
